Has anyone here used Meraki's MDM solution? (not wifi)

Website claims the solution is 100% free, even if you were to manage thousands of mobile devices.

Just wondering why then would anyone get something from their competitors, say Citrix XenMobile (former ZenPrise), or AirWatch?

What's the major difference between Meraki, and the others?

What's lacking from the Meraki, that would make people use a paid solution?

http://meraki.cisco.com/products/systems-manager

I only have experience with Meraki systems amanger, but I can tell you that it is true that it is free and it seems very full featured to me. They even keep adding new features regularly. There is a paid option for support if you want it, but no other charges. I think their idea is to give this away for free and then you wil want to try their wireless, security and switches to further enhance your network management and monitoring. For example, if you use Meraki wireless you can force users to enroll in your systems manager to be managed before connecting to your network. Otherwise you have to manually install or get users to voluntarily install netowrk agents on devices.

A very good solution in my opinion. It works for apple IOS, android, chromebook, windows and OS X by the way, not just mobile. Try it if you have not yet.

-- please remember to rate and mark answered helpful posts --

The probelm with all this MDM enrolling by the different bendors is that Apple devices can only serve one MDM and thats the last one installed. If you connect your iDevice to 5 different networks all with their own MDM you trump the last one installed. I hope this gets worked out ..

__________________________________________________________________________________________
"Satisfaction does not come from knowing the solution, it comes from knowing why." - Rosalind Franklin
__________________________________________________________________________________________
‎"I'm in a serious relationship with my Wi-Fi.

Ravi, that looks helpful but beware of the accuracy. I looked at only Meraki features quickly and they are missing that Meraki has IOS7 support and Geofencing support..

-- please remember to rate and mark answered helpful posts --
