WLAN question

I am currently using a 5508 controller with 25 1142N AP's, I am using one WLAN with LDAP authentication against our dc's and one WLAN is open with guest access only. All is working well.

My question is can I create a 3rd WLAN using the the same authentication process and ONLY have this WLAN advertised on a sub set of the 25 AP's ?

So all of the ap's would broadcast wlan1 and 2 and four of the ap's would broadcast wlan 1,2 and 3 ?

Any help or link to config would be appreciated..

Cheers

Dave

Hi,

You should keep the WLAN ID over 16 in the third wireless

all WLAN IDs to 16 are to be pushed into the default group, and so you have to define two new groups.

in case you set the ID to the WLAN 17, you can configure a group "Other Wireless Network" with the wireless network you want to promote it in the group, and bind the AP from the default group ind the "Other Wireless Network"

miro
