We have a controller that communicates with an external radius server which in turn debits an account depending on how much MB usage the customers does.

For this to work effectively we need to get the WLC to send Interim update packets at regular intervals.

Has anyone got any ideas how we can go about this??

The WLC controller uses a single RADIUS accounting record (start) for 802.1x client authentication and IP address assignment, and an interim update is sent after the client is assigned an IP address.

Here is the Administration guide for WLC following guide may help you :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/3.2/configuration/guide/c32ovrv.html

Ok then I guess my question is how can I get the current usage stat to the radius server at regular intervals?
