Keep losing association when changing when trying to hardcode as root

I have a pair of aironet 1400's which im setting up as point to point. When I leave everything in autoinstall. Bridge A will always be the parent, and B the non-root.

However when I try to change A to root bridge and B to non-root brige, they no longer associate with each other. No

authentication currently, excpept basic WEP

I also dont understand why B is never taking the parent role..even when i reset bridge a

Reset the bridges. Disable the Radios. Configure A as Non-root , B as Root . Then enable the Radios and check if this works. Because the settings made during autoinstall mightn't have got erased.
