WPA-PSK

Does a rekeying of the wep keys happen when i use WPA-PSK. I set it up in the lab. but where can i set the time out like the radius timeout for PEAP or leap?

i tried : dot1x reauthen xxx but i didnt saw anything in the debug.

i know that i have TKIP with mic and key hashing per packet. BUT does the WEP key rotate? or did i miss understood it? =:-)

If you use TKIP, I doubt that you need to re-key. The algorithm of TKIP is the increment the WEP by 1 on every packets. Thus, the WEP key is always changing.

thanks, thats wahat i tought, but i cant see that rekey by doing a debug?. and i cant set a timeout like within leap.

so does that mean if i use tkip with leap i dont need a radius timeout, bc of tkip?

im a bit confused 😃

Not really.

You configure the master pair-wise key (PMK) on WPA-PSK.

If you use LEAP+WPA, you get a re-key defined in the radius server. In other words, the PMK changes when there is a re-key.
