what is the extension of the config file that you are using. The config file must end with *.txt. Ideally it should be "config.txt". Check if this is causing the problem and try again.

Configuring wlsestartup.ini option (67) Bootfile Name - Not Working

Our current method of configuring switches is via a TFTP server.

In DHCP we give the MAC of the switch a Manual DHCP IP, this causes the switch to pull its name as its initial boot name. When the switch boots it looks for its name-confg. This piece works fine.

The problem arises when implementing option (67) “Boot file Name” on our DHCP server. The end result of putting in option 67, is that not only access points but switches attempt to pull down wlsestartup.ini. When it does this the switch stops looking for name-confg, network-cnfg etc... I would like to know how others have gotten around this problem, or implementation suggestions. I have spoken to Vital QIP our DHCP vendor and we have exhausted, all of the idea's they had. I have also spoken to TAC and they did not have a solution to my problem as well.
