Does the port connected to the Radius server need to belong to both VLANs, even if I am NOT using the Radius server to assign users to VLANs? I'm simply using the AP to assign users to VLANs by assigning each SSID on the AP to a VLAN on the wired side.

I'm trying to set up two VLANs on my 1230B AP. One VLAN is configured to do static 128 bit WEP, the other VLAN is configured to do 802.1x authentication (WPA optional). The problem is with the 802.1x VLAN - the Radius server never sees anything from the AP. Thoughts?

Does the port that the Radius server is connected to have to belong to both VLANs in BOTH of these 2 scenarios? ->

1) The Cisco AP handles VLAN assignment by assigning its SSIDs to VLANs on the wired side. (This is the scenario I'm doing.)

2) The Radius server is configured to handle VLAN assignment.
