Hi,

I'm using patch antennas with my 1200 series AP's.

These antenas are directional, but in Location Manager in WLSE 2.7 i saw signal strengh and data rates of these AP's as if i'm using omni directional antenas i.e circular radition.

It's possible to change that ?

Regars

MC

1) Directional Antennas are only supported in WLSE 2.9 and later. In 2.7, all antennas are assumned Omni directional. See 'New Features': http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cwparent/cw_1105/wlse/2_9/wlsern.htm#wp1046785

2) Also, make sure that if the APs have any 802.11G radio installed in them, the IOS is 12.2(15)JA or later. Other wise, due to an earlier IOS bug, the radio interface type show up incorrectly in WLSE and corresponding radio data/coverage shows up wrong as well.

I came to the forum with this same question today. Appreciate you already having the answer waiting.

I've now tried the recommendations and can confirm that it does indeed function in my environment.

WLSE 2.9

AP1200 12.3

2012 Antenna

Also, You might check the transparency setting on your imported floormap image. I have mine set to be fairly dim.
