Hi.

I'm doing a lab, I have a 2802i AP as the mobility express controller, and I want to associate a 2602i to it, but I'm getting this error in the console of the 2602i:

AP 2802i has version 8.5.151.0

I don't know which version I have in the 2602i.

I'm able to see the 2602i in the controller:

Paste the output from 2802Ap/WLC: show sysinfo

Console to Cisco 2602 AP and paste the output of this command: show version

Make sure that you have the same version on both APs.

Hi Sandeep,

I cannot hit any command via console in the 2602, I can see all the logs in the console, but it doesn't accept any command, I mean doesn't respond... Anyway, when it was booting it was showing this:

Hi ,

First You need to run this command on 2602 AP: debug capwap console cli

and then run: show version

as per above info, 153-3.JA4 ---> Cisco 2602 AP has this version: 8.0.120.0

Try to upgrade 2602 AP to 8.5.151.0 version and try again.

You might need a TFTP server where you have the extracted AP image for the 2602, so it's able to download it from there while booting.

But it's also possible that you first manually need to upgrade it to a much newer version.

I was investigating a few about this, the thing is that AP 2602i only support capwap, so, the image that works with mobility express is ap3g2-k9w8-mx.153-3.JF12, I already upgraded (finally after many problems), but the thing is that the mobility express controller version that is compatible with 2602 is 8.5.103.0, but that IOS is not available to be donwloaded. So, I need to figure it put how to get it

already upgraded the AP 2602i manually. now I need to get the right firmware to the mobility express controller.

Then all 8.5.x releases should be compatible with the 2602 (assuming the right fitting firmware), so I suggest to take the latest 8.5.x release.
