Wirelesss Client Slowness

Hi Team,

Just new to Wireless and I came across to troubleshoot slowness issue for the wireless clients (Scanner) with the cisco AIR-AP2802 and 5508 WLC.

Can you provide the steps or checks we can perform to isolate the issue?

Slowness can have many variables. Why not do some testing and info gathering and provide more information on your thread so we can help you try to figure it out.

What firmware is the controller running on?
What is the "exact" make and model of the scanners?
What data rates are the troubled wireless clients running on?
What radio are the troubled wireless clients running on? 2.4 Ghz or 5.0 Ghz?
If you have 2800, is RRM turned on?

How come the Zebra MC9300 are operating in 2.4 Ghz?
What happens if you turn off 2.4 Ghz (as a test)? Do the scanners operate in 5.0 Ghz? IF they do, are they still complaining of slow responses in 5.0 Ghz?
Where are you getting this complaint of "slowness issue"? Only from the MC9300 scanners? Have you tried verifying this "slowness issue" with an independent wireless client like a smartphone or tablet?
What Data Rates are enabled on the WLC's 2.4 Ghz?

1. Yes the scanners can operate on both channels, tried both of them, but are experiencing slowness. It has some SAP application which is experiencing the slowness.

3. We have complaints about all devices in the area, planning to have live test with the laptop, signal test or some debugs.

Ok, now we are getting down to the "truth" somewhere.

Can the other wireless clients surf the net while on wireless? If they can, what is the result from www.fast.com?
