DId Cisco take down the firmware download for both the autonomous and light weight images for Cisco Aironet 1142N if so is there a way i can get a copy of the software still because i need it

It is, for Cisco. You can try to google its filenames, usually you find some downloads on google for old firmware.

Now that 802.11ac and 802.11ax are out, which offer way more performance and other features, it's typically better to move on.
