Cisco Access Point - Channel Allocation

I would like to understand regarding Cisco AP channel allocation.

In a floor say I have nearly 10 Cisco Access Points controller by WLC. Would like to understand how the channel should be allocated to each access points.

Are the channels allocated automatically randomly or is it required we need to specify it per Access Point ?

Are you asking because you want to manually configure each APs channel and Tx power or are you asking the WLC's "logic" behind the assignment of channel & power?

Recommended best practice is to leave it at default value (ON).

There are some vendors who insist on turning RRM and DCA off.
