I have a WAP571 with the embedded wireless controller. I want to add a new Wireless Access Point (WAP). I want to know if I can add an Cisco Catalyst 9117AXI-B Wireless Access Point that doesn't have the embedded wireless controller to the WAP571?

Oh my.. good question, I went scrolling thru the documentation and could not find a 'supported AP list'

or verify if the 571 was AIROS or IOSXE based. .

There are usually support differences between SMB and Enterprise type equipment.

There will be someone who has a definitive answer.

I received the email below from CISCO Support on my issue;

Currently 571 with embedded wireless controller compatibility with 9117AP Wifi 6 is not an option. The 9800 Wireless controller is what we offer in terms of controlling this AP.
