Cisco Air-AP3802E-E-K9 Antenna necessary?

Hello together

In our Company we installed 3802i every time. I have now 3802E and the question is, if I can use this without antenna or are they necessary?

Yes you need external antennas, depending on the pattern you need to have.

Yes you need external antennas. Also make sure to not enable the radios without mounted antennas, or you might damage the amplifiers!

3802e without an antenna will not radiate anything.

The "E" in a 3802E explicitly indicates external antennae, without which it won't Tx or Rx anything.
