Hi Guys,

How can i clear completely my WCS database?

I would like to clear the wcs data base and put my database backup without overwrite the informations (maps, logs,).

Is it possible ?

You could export the maps and then uninstall WCS and install it back. The license will still work since the license is tied to the hostname of the server.

I don't think you can just wipe the DB on WCS, I know you can on NCS and Prime.

I found the below information in this doc, but I don´t sure if it will erase the current database:

Reinitializing the Database

If you need to reset the database because of a synchronization problem or a corruption of some type, enter {install directory}/bin/dbadmin.(sh|bat) reinitdb to reinitialize the database.

I have two WCS, (wcs01 and wcs02) and I need export the database from wcs01 to wcs02.

Do you know if I do it, wcs02 will mix the current database with the new database ? or wcs02 will replace the database ?

It will replace... there is no merge... be careful with that!!!!
