Hi Guys,

I have a virtual wlc on vmware, port is trunked, flexconnect configured

I have three APs all in different vlans and with three SSIDs configured.

AP1 = 10.70.0.100

AP2 = 10.80.0.100

AP3 = 10.90.0.100

SSID 1 should get IP in the 10.70.0.0 range , SSID 2 in 10.80.0.0 and SSID 3 10.90.0.0, but whichever SSID i connect to i only get an IP add in the range the AP is connected to.

For e.g if i connect to SSID 3 through AP1 i am supposed to get IP add in the range of 10.90.0.x but i get IP add in the range of 10.70.0.x.

The WLC gateway is a firewall IP where DHCP relay is configured to forward dhcp request to DHCP server zone.

wlc to core switch = trunk mode

ap - access switch = access mode

kindly advise

have you mapped the SSID with respecteed WLAN ?

where is your DHCP ? WLC as DHCP ? or external ?

Can you post the screen short of interface and interface groups.

In FlexConnect mode, the AP is just going to dump the client out onto the local port. You need the AP ports to be trunked with all of those VLANs. Once the AP is in FlexConnect mode, you should be able to do the VLAN / WLAN mapping either in the AP config or via a FlexConnect group.

If the AP is Flex connect mode switch port has to be a trunk, native VLAN should be set as AP management and allow the SSID VLANs+AP management VLAN

Sample config should look like below

interface XXXXX

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk natve vlan (AP MANAGEMENT)

switchport trunk allowed VLAN (APMANAGEMENT+USER VLANS)

spanning-tree portfast trunk (optional)

Assuming your vWLC is 9800 please post the Flex profiles,policy profiles, policy tag

Had to configure the interface as trunk and on FlexConfig tab to configure native vlan.
