Hi Leo,

Is there a way to know the Client RSSI at the AP end.

I am suspecting of high AP transmit power issues in one of my Warehouse. I want to clarify this before making some changes at AP end.

I would like to know the AP RSSI at the client end and the Client RSSI at the AP end from WLC .

@Hasif VP wrote:

Is there a way to know the Client RSSI at the AP end.

There are two things about RSSI:

1. What the client "sees"; and

2. What the AP "sees".

The command I've provided will see what the client "sees" the RSSI value to be.

For the AP to see what the RSSI is of the client, use the following command:

sh client detail <MAC ADDRESS>

And scroll all the way down to the bottom.
At the bottom are all the RSSI values from the eyes of the AP.

Hope this make sense.

Cisco has a partnership with Apple and Samsung for their devices to report client analytics (like that) to the AP/WLC.

https://miercom.com/pdf/reports/200420E.pdf page 13.
