If your requirement is to filter the AP's and assign the tags this can be done manually by navigating to

Configuration>>Tags & Profiles>>Tags>>AP

I wouldn't suggest using this wizard to create policies as this will create profiles using the Cisco's recommended settings, which may or may not work well depending on the RF environment and client type connecting to. Yes you have the option of customizing it later, but why not create it right at the first place and then use Filters to assign the tags to AP's.

Just curious if people are using the Location settings via the Configuration -> Wireless Setup -> Basic menu. Do you use it to create policies and assign tags to APs? The AP name filters work well with my naming conventions and I am trying to understand the interaction.

Thanks

My suggestion is you lab this up and try various ways, basic, advanced and defining it manually. This way you can decide what works best for you. I bet majority of new folks to the 9800 will use the basic and experienced engineers would use the advanced or manually configure what they need.

Now back to the location.... this is really up to you. I do use it so I can define multiple locations. I also use this in the lab to define various tags for different use case.
