Can´t downgrade c9800-CL in AWS

Hi!

I have install an c9800-CL in AWS the only release to install was 17.6.1 so I do so.

But I need to downgrade it to 17.3.4 because we have 2702 APs.

I run the 17.3.4 bin file and everything looks right under the installations the WLC reboot but came up with 17.6.1 again ????

I have try both GUI and Cli with same result, Is there anyone who can tell me why ???

- Could you check the boot statements in the startup-config , and or the running config too (compare) ?

Same process as you do an upgrade but with 17.3.4 software

Both boot statement is bootflash:packages.conf when the WLC is in install mode

I would say boot from the 17.03.04 bin file (bundle mode) for once and then convert it to the install mode.

1. Upload the bin file for 17.03.04

2. Delete the existing boot statement

3. Add the new boot statement to load with bin file.

4. Reload the WLC.

5. Convert from bundle mode to install mode
