Can you please help me to list the tasks which are performed on the WLC can be automated ?

May things can be automated, depending on the requirement, what you looing to do and local expertise.

you can do most of the tasks day to day operations can be automated, as i mentioned subject to requirement and expertise.

Access point name change (for many AP's) >> This has to be done via GUI or CLI .

If we have to automate Cisco WLC tasks do we have any ansible module for this ?

You can export the AP name and use the below command on the WLC command level to push changing

config ap name < new name > < old name>

You can use any scripting as long you comfortable (test 1 or 2 device with script, if that works, do bulk)
