topic C9800 VLAN Groups Question in Wireless

Hi,

We recognize that InterfaceGroups in AireOS and VLAN Groups in Catalyst 9800 are functionally equivalent.
When multiple VLANs are assigned in InterfaceGroups in AireOS, the corresponding VLAN is assigned from the client's static IP. It works perfectly.

However, Catalyst9800's VLAN Groups uses a MacAddress hash to assign to one of the vlan. That cannot be manipulated.

Is it possible to have it dynamically map the appropriate vlan to a fixed IP client, like InterfaceGroups in AireOS?

Thanks,

tetu

With Dot1X, the wireless client is assigned to a "network name". This network name is Interface/Interface Group in AireOS or VLAN Group in IOS-XE.
