Predictive site survey using WCS

I am currently creating a proposal for Wireless MESH at a fairground using WCS. The area of the location 2,409,890 sq ft which equals approx 54 acres (2786' x 865'). When calculating an antennae to use, is it normal to use a 8 dBi omni antenna with more APs or a higher dBi antennae with fewer APs.

So far I have a total of 6 APs using a 8dBi antennae and the distance from AP to edge cell is about 300', and it doesn't seem to enough coverage.

Check out Cisco's mesh design guide here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Mobility/emob41dg/emob41dg-wrapper.html

They list a cell radius of about 600' for seamless coverage, so it seems odd that a 300' cell is weak for you.
