Hi Flavio

Yes I am using 40mhz bonding. So I should need to delete 48 and 52?

I’ll give that a try

Channel 48 - WLC 5520

Hi all

I have an issue where I am unable to remove channel 48 under the RF-profile and at the moment I am statically assigning channels to APs inside this group (as channel 48 is causing interference with a third party system).

When I try and remove the channel I just receive an error stating "Invalid channel or channel cannot be removed"

Has anyone come across this issue before? Any input would be a great help.

Currently running 2x5520 WLC in SSO mode on OS version 8.10.162.0

Thank you,

Hi

Which is the channel width are you using? If you have 40Mhz channel, which means two channel bonding , You may have to delete both channels.

Hi Flavio.

This still does not work for me unfortunately - do you have any other suggestions?

(WLC) >show rf-profile details 5g-production

DCA Channel List................................. 48,56,60,64,100,104,108,112,116,120,124,128,132
DCA Bandwidth.................................... 20

(WLC) >config rf-profile channel delete 48 5g-production
Invalid channel or channel cannot be removed.

Globally all channels are enabled and 20MHz channel width.

Thanks,

There are some bug with similar behavior. Probably you hit a bug. I´d try to change the WLC version cause this should work.

Just for test, did you tried to delete another channel?

Hi

I was thinking that it could well be some bug - I can delete any channel except for channel 48.

Thanks

I came across this post while investigating a similar issue. I found the solution to this via TAC. I thought i'd chare in case anyone else has this problem.

Wireless > 802.11a > RRM > DCA, just check "Avoid check for non-DFS channel" and then remove the channel.

After I enabled the above check box I was able to go back to RF profile and remove channel 48. I then went to the above check box and disabled it again. This solved the problem.
