Dear Experts,

We have a RAP and MAP connection using Cisco 3702E model and manged by 5508 WLC

Now requirement is to connect a 8 port switch 3560X to the MAP Cisco 3702 AP for extending connecitivty to security cabin where a wired IP phone and one indoor AP in the security cabin.

Kindly advice if a switch can be connected to MAP or not. If this solution will work.

Yes 3560X switch which is going to connect to MAP 3702E required to give POE to IP phone and one indoor AP in security cabin.

You could use mesh ethernet bridging to pass the traffic from the switch trough the wireless link of the APs, the link below explains how it works and what configuration you need to apply on your 5508:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless-mobility-documents/understanding-mesh-ethernet-bridging/ta-p/3111392

Thanks for your response.

If we enable mesh ethernet bridging, will the mesh AP still be able to associate for for WLAN clients.

Requirement is same MAP to be used for both WLAN clients (existing) and connecting switch (new requirement).

Yes, ethernet bridging just puts the traffic from the switch into the mesh link, you still have another radio that's for wireless client access.
