I was trying to use name since some locations do not have the same VLAN ID. But my solution for now is to use the flexconnect VLAN mapping. This will suffice to using VLAN naming off the WLC.

I am trying to get dynamic VLAN working using the locally switched VLAN name between a 9800 WLC and ISE over flexconnect. I can only get this to work if I have the name mapped in the flex group but this statically maps the VLAN name to the ID. Has anyone been able to get this to work?

I have an environment where there may be a possibility that we don't have the same VLANs everywhere. I know the flex group mapping will fix this but I'm trying to avoid a static mapping in the WLC.

Can't you use the VLAN ID instead of name?

Yes I think that's the only way that is supported.
