Minimum AireOS Code to support AIR-AP1562E MESH MODE

Hello All,

I have several AIR-AP1562E to deploy in MESH mode as MAPs.

My Controller is a 5520 running 8.3.150 code. I am limited to 8.5.X since I have older 3500 APs in the environment.

My main question is - Does the 1562 support mesh mode on 8.5.176 IRCM code? I have a 9800 to incorporate so I want to prime the environment for CAPWAP based Mobility.

Just to note, on 8.3.150 code I do not have the Bridge option on the 1562 APs.

regarding IRCM, here is what TAC recommends

The 8.5 IRCM branch supports only 5508/8510/5520/8540/3504 controllers. It supports IRCM between AireOS and 9800 controllers; it does not support IRCM with old "New Mobility" controllers. For 8.5 IRCM deployments, TAC recommends 8.5.182.104; earlier 8.5 IRCM releases were 8.5.176.2, 8.5.164.0 and 8.5.164.216, and 8.5.176.0.

Flex is supported, flex + mesh is not supported (need 8.10 for that).
