VLAN Support and OEAP

Hallo,

What is the correlation between 'VLAN Support' and OfficeExtend AP in WLC? When one is enabled, the other is disabled but I can't find a proper documentation on the reason behind it.

I'll appreciate a response.

VLAN is if you looking to enabel native VLAN

Officeextend is etxtend the AP to remote location

Thanks for that @balaji.bandi I have APs that are in the Native VLAN within the network but wanted to understand why, when the Native VLAN is enabled in WLC, the option for enabling OEAP is disabled. What exactly does that mean?

OEAP is intended for plugging APs into a typical home broadband router with no VLAN support so it wouldn't make any sense to enable VLANs in that context. It really only supports 2 options - local untagged traffic and traffic tunnelled back to WLC over CAPWAP so the OEAP AP never uses VLANs.
Whereas VLAN support is for you to configure flex local switching with a switch trunk port which supports VLANs.

You're trying to mix 2 mutually exclusive use cases. In theory it might have been possible to do that but Cisco does not support it - end of story.
