Hello,

I have a Cisco 5500 wireless controller that I was having problems reaching the Webadmin portal through HTTPS. I followed some instruction to enable HTTP then delete and regenerate the certificate. When I did this, none of my APs will connect any longer. Any ideas on how to resolve this? This is urgent. This is a K-12 school with a 1:1 program so without WiFi, classes are at a stand still tomorrow.

- Can you post an ap boot process , also check the controller-logs when an ap tries to connect , as far as urgency is concerned this forum is users-based , not Cisco. Check this thread : https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/support/td-p/4695696

I'm willing to bet you've hit the expired certs problem - same as many others in last few months! So here we go again ...

Read this field notice through very carefully (twice if necessary) then follow all the instructions carefully in the right order:

I'll summarise it for the umpteenth time:
1. Upgrade to latest version which supports your APs and WLC - probably 8.5.182.0 (assuming you mean 5508)

2. Apply the config workaround on the WLC
3. Disable NTP and set time manually to before your certs expired
4. Allow all the APs to join, download new code, pick up the config workaround
5 Re-enable NTP
