2700 AP not moving to 9800 WLC

Hi team,

We are migrating 2700 AP from Aireos to 9800 WLC . Both Aireos and 9800 WLC are in same network.

AP regsitration for Aireos controller based on DHCP option 43. When we move AP manually by defining static controller Ip address (i.e. 9800 WLC) , its not going to 9800 WLC rather than registring on same old AIreos controller .

Please suggest. Not a signle request received on 9800 WLC about joining request from 2700AP. Please help with suggestion or solution

Hi Ahmad,

What is the model of 9800 controller and what is the software version? 2700 series is supported up to 17.4 version.

- What version of software is the AireOS WLC running?
- What version of software is the 9800 WLC running?
- What do you see on the AP console?
- Do you have any APs working on the 9800?

It got worked. There was issue with testing 2700 AP. By replacing with other , it got installed and working properly
