So, it was the old time sync issue that was causing you problems. Nice fix!

Have a look at the following info for acquiring the WCS Demo License;

Procuring and Installing Cisco WCS Demonstration License

The process to procure and install the Cisco WCS Demonstration License AIR-WCS-DEMO-K9 is as follows:

STEP 1-Request the Cisco WCS Demonstration License

Go to http://www.cisco.com/go/license or https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/PrivateRegistrationServlet to request the Cisco WCS Demonstration License.

Select Network Mgmt Products > Wireless Control System > Wireless Control System 30 day trial license (Figure 8).

Fill out the registration forms. Make sure the correct host name of the customer supplied Cisco WCS server is entered.

Customers supply their own server for Cisco WCS.

Customers do not need to go to the licensing Website for registration of a Cisco WCS Demonstration License because PAK certificate registration is automatically completed during the Cisco WCS Demonstration License registration process when the customer enters the host name of their Cisco WCS server.

Fill out the email request form.

An email titled "Wireless Control System Field Demo License" from licensing@cisco.com will be sent to the email address(es) entered on the registration page.

STEP 2-Deploying Cisco WCS Demonstration License

Download Cisco WCS software: Login and go to http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/Wireless_Control_System_Software

Note: Customers must download and install the Cisco WCS software image to activate the Cisco WCS Demonstration License.

The email that is sent from Cisco licensing does not contain the Cisco WCS software image.

Alternately, the path to get to the URL above is as follows (customers must login before starting this process):

Go to Cisco.com

Go to Technical Support & Documentation

Select Download Software

Select Wireless Software (Customers must login before clicking this link.)

Scroll to Wireless LAN Management Software (Figure 2)

Select Cisco Wireless LAN Management Software (WCS), Release 4.0 (Figure 2)

Note: If a customer is not logged in before selecting Wireless Software, they will be taken to the Software Download Page. This is not the correct page. Customers must be logged in before Selecting Wireless Software.

From the table, select WCS-STANDARD-K9-4-0-66-0.exe for Windows or WCS-STANDARD-K9-4-0-66-0.bin for Linux.

Load the Cisco WCS software onto the customer supplied Cisco WCS server.

Open the email received from licensing@cisco.com titled "Wireless Control System Field Demo License."

Follow the instructions in the email to activate the Cisco WCS Demonstration License.
