Hi everyone,

I want to configure a Cisco Access Point AIR-AP4800_E-K9. I added it to the controller with an IP address. (Also a AP4800_E-K9).

The access point is not accessible via the web interface. The access point is accessible via ping on the LAN. Does it have to be a specific browser? Do I need to configure http on the access point? What other data do I have to enter on the access point?

Does the controller copy all data such as SSID, WLAN ID to the access point?

Thank you.

- If it's a capwap based (client) access point intending to join a controller then it does not have a web-based interface , it becomes managed by the controller. Verify the list of access points on the controller to check if it joined correctly ,

Looking at the model you posted, AIR-AP4800_E-K9, this is a standalone ap unless you have converted the image to CAPWAP. Console into the AP, reboot it and post the output. Attach the output as a text file attachment. The output will tell you what is happening, if the AP is autonomous, or failing to join a controller and why.
