Hi there,

what would be the best way to extract all the configuration of this switch in order to do firmware update/reset and restart all from scratch but having a bit of a road map and reference to some of the settings?

is there any step by step guide available?

Thank you!

And to add: I find "show run-config commands" and "show run-config startup" more useful than "show run-config".
The formatting of the output is often dreadful but if you search and replace all double spaces with single spaces that usually leaves you with a readable config.

Having access to WLC GUI, is there any difference on the configuration available for download?

To download via CLI do you need to connect to the controller physically and run the cisco cable to its console?

thanks

You best bet is to get familiar with the process. Since your setup is most likely mobility express, you can search", Cisco mobility express backup configuration". You will find links that can help you. I have provided on that is also step by step on saving a backup of your configuration, that way you can perform a restore.
