&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;- One possible cause might be that entering serial numbers is&amp;nbsp; prone to errors such as &lt;FONT color="#FF6600"&gt;switching digits and letters&lt;/FONT&gt; , if it keeps bumping on you just configure it through &lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;a console&lt;/FONT&gt; with the &lt;STRONG&gt;setup&lt;/STRONG&gt; process where you can define an administrative user too (in the IOS running and startup config&amp;nbsp; when finishing ) ,&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt; &amp;nbsp;Adding&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; : validate the serial number you are trying in the GUI with :&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/" target="_blank"&gt;https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>9800L Day 0 setup issue with serial number</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just installing new 9800L,found the video anout connecting to port use getting a DHCP address and using the Gui.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Video says to username webui and password is the serial number of the box, which have tried, but this isn't working, done in lower case, upcase.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ver&amp;nbsp;17.03.04c&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers&lt;/P&gt;</description>
