Hi, I have a WLC 9800 (16.12.1), which is connected to an AP AIR-CAP2702I. I have made the basic configurations to create a WLAN, policies and assignment to the detected equipment. My problem is as follows, despite all this, my AP in "down" operation status, also, the SSID does not radiate in the wifi zone. I attached an image, I hope you can help me.

Make sure you have the right country configured for this AP on the WLC.

Starting from 17.9.X, WPA3 is enabled by default.

If the SSID were never configured for WPA3, go through each SSID settings and reset the settings back.

Hello, according to the regulatory domain, the AP is an -A, therefore, the selected country is the US. Despite that, I still have the same problem.

Hello, the WLC that I have has version 16.12.1, much lower than the one you mention.

Do you have applied to this AP the RF profile? If you look at the AP config, General and Tags, under RF do you have the RF Rag selected?

OK, one last thing. Try to disable clean air, if enable.

On the Configuration > Access Points > 5 Ghz Radios and 2.4 Ghz radios

CleanAir Admin status > Change to disable and reload the AP.

Well, I have no idea. The version is not a problem, the config seems to be fine. Do you have any other WLC to test? maybe an older one with AirOs? Just to make sure the AP is fine?

Apologies, I mis-read that as 17.12.1.

Console and remote into the AP and post the complete output to the command "dir".

Check all Tags and profiles are assigned to that AP, as if any of them happen to be missed, the AP's radio would go into Down status.

Check this from a test:

After fixing Flex assignment, AP's radio comes Up again:

Post the output from command "show ap name <APNAME> tag detail" to check all is good, and check all referenced Profiles do exist, and are properly set under every Tag.

Hi @JPavonM , I have created a flex profile but still have the same problem. To tell you that I am working with two VLANs, administration 10 and client management 20. Anyway I show you the result obtained.

Would not be a problem as this AP will support to join in older WLC just fine.

The idea would be test the AP as this can be the problem and not the 9800.
