Cisco 9800 AP System Monitoring recommendation

Hello Cisco WLAN-experts,

during implementation and use of the new 9800-WLC-generation, I stumbled over the System Monitoring

of WLAN APs which can be activated within the AP Join Profile. Here are the start values:

I would like to start using this feature and would like to know which Thresholds and intervals are recommended by Cisco.

Here are my first start values for testing:

And here are my values from Monitoring after activation of Monitor Real Time Statistics and Trigger Alarm for AP:

Why are the APs still showing "Alarm inactive" eventhough I have activated both ?

Or does it mean that the current values of CPU and Memeory usage are not high enough to trigger an alarm ?

Who knows more about this feature ?

Did you read the config guide? They give examples:

Correct - alarm is only active if threshold is exceeded - the examples show this.

Hello Rich R,

thank You very much for pointing me to the example in the config guide for AP Real-Time-statistics.

Device# show ap config general | section AP statistics

The shown command within config guide shows statistics but not the WLAN AP they are belonging to.

To see also the AP-names in list format the command should be like this:
