Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with particular clients (Mobile Carts) that are fluctuating among different data rates. They maintain a high RSSI and SNR. I am running a WLC 9800 with software version 17.3.6. The AP's that are servicing the area with the clients are 3802i's using a 5 GHz SSID only.

My Macbook Pro on the other hand in this same area is not exhibiting this same issue connecting to the same AP's and SSID.

Could this be a client driver related issue?

Thanks.

It is normal to fluctuate data rate specifically client is moving. I would not purely relying on that graph (which shows average over time) and conclude it is an issue.

If genuinely end point shows very low data rate, I would start looking from client Wi-Fi adapter/driver first

HTH
Rasika
*** Pls rate all useful responses ***

What kind of a wireless client is this?

Specifically, what is the brand of the wireless NIC and what is the wireless NIC driver?

Thank you for your replies. It seems that the low data rates are happening on the clients even if they are not moving. I'm trying to obtain the brand of wireless NIC and driver information.
