Hello Professionals,

From 2 days ago, my wireless controller (WLC9800-L) freezing suddenly.
- version: 17.9.3

This device is directly connected to C9300L switch port with Trunk - Trunk(with allowed port).

I was accessing Web GUI of controller, but suddenly it lost connection.
From the device itself, all interface is up status, but port is not blinking. it just steady green light. (No logs were found on both switch/WLC)

I need to unplug and plug back to switch port whenever I faced on this issue.

Do you think it's a hardware issue?

Anyone has same issue with me?

Thank you for your comment.

What did the logs say?

Was the WLC still pingable during that brief moment?

- Also configure a syslog server on the WLC9800-L , and follow up on logs send to it , especially around those times that the controller freezes

And get a console connection to the WLC for any logs which might appear there.
Update to 17.9.4 which is the currently TAC recommended release - see link below.

No logs on switch and controller. It just disconnected. No ping wlc to switch was possible, and opposite way neither.
It happened several times while I am testing Wi-Fi connection. In order to check logs right away, I kept connecting to wlc by serial, but couldn’t found any issue.
I checked interface, vlan status, but it was all up. I have created TAC because I thought it might not a software issue because even the moment it lost connection, I was able to get cli result such as sh ip int br/ sh int status.

Will share later it I got any response from Cisco team.
