      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have AIR-CAP17021-E-K9 which was working using WLC but the WLC is faulty and I want to configure it using console cable&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;when I login I could not have access to config t command to enable me assign the necessary IP to it for it to function.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Like Marce says you would need to convert the AP to autonomous mode first.&lt;BR /&gt;Search "cisco ap convert to autonomous" for numerous guides, articles, blogs and videos on how to do that.&lt;BR /&gt;You will need the autonomous IOS software to install:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286281141/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JPQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286281141/type/284180979/release/15.3.3-JPQ&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The autonomous IOS web interface has a number of known bugs which will never be fixed because it's almost end of support (in a few months time) so highly recommend you use the CLI for the config.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/15-3-3/configuration/guide/cg15-3-3.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/15-3-3/configuration/guide/cg15-3-3.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
