If I have a to use only 2 antenna AIR-ANT2547V-N-HZ= on antenna Port1 & Port2 will the AP function with dual band or not ?

Or as it has 8 antenna ports, how many antenna are mandatory to use if using antenna model AIR-ANT2547V-N-HZ?

Thanks & Regards//

Hello Leo, quite confusing as in installation guide all 8 ports described does not have anything mention on 6Ghz but again in this it is mentioned 6E is ready.

That's covered in the data sheet https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-iw9167-series/cat-iw9167e-heavy-duty-ap-ds.html
"The 6 GHz band support will be available with a future software upgrade and is subject to approvals and regulations by each countries’ regulatory agencies for the use of the 6 GHz spectrum for outdoor standard power devices."
In other words 6GHz is not currently supported on that AP.

The documentation isn't clear on minimum antenna number but does refer to having 4 each installed for 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios, but if you use dual 5GHz radios then see the warning:

Note

Do not connect omnidirectional antennas directly to both ports 1 - 4 and ports 5 - 8. To avoid interference between the 5 GHz radios, use coaxial cables and mount one set of antennas at least 3 ft. (1 m) vertically away from the antennas attached directly to the chassis. Omnidirectional antennas may be connected to either ports 1 - 4 or 5 - 8, but not to any combination of both 5 GHz radios' antenna ports simultaneously.

If you connect directional antennas to both 5 GHz radios, space them at least 10 ft. (3 m) apart vertically, or at least 5 ft. (1.5 m) apart horizontally with their main beams aimed at least 90 degrees apart.
