Hi all, as I think I explained in a previous post, our network engineer left and I am completely new to a lot of this, including the Cisco controller. Anyway, we have 3 SSID's, one of which is turned off, we are switching it back on and switching the other off, are there any gotcha's when doing this e.g. will this reboot the AP's etc?

If possible it would also be great to understand our setup a little, the SSID in question is a guest network which enables users to enter a email and they are given a temporary password. Now under the 'Security' tab the 'AAA Servers' seems to connect to Cisco ISE to do this - so the two things I don't understand are:

1. where does the actual configuration of the web 'sign up' actually take part and 2. MAC filtering is turned on, why exactly is this needed (or how does that work)?

Sorry for multiple questions here, wanted to avoid posting several posts about the same topic.

Many thanks.

Hi,

we are switching it back on and switching the other off, are there any gotcha's when doing this e.g. will this reboot the AP's etc?

No there is no gotchas and it will not reboot APs.

1. where does the actual configuration of the web 'sign up' actually take part and 2. MAC filtering is turned on, why exactly is this needed (or how does that work)?

Either (webpage) is used form WLC internally or it could be used from ISE server.

MAC filerting enabled/AAA override/RADIUS NAC enabled means its used for MAB authntication for guest and iSE is doing all... .

Regards

Dont forget to arte helpful posts
