Hi,

with some Catalyst C9164 APs we have the problem that the image is corrupt.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/220443-how-to-avoid-boot-loop-due-to-corrupted.html

Can the C9164 APs even u-boot? If yes, how?

The mentioned workaround works with the 9115, but we can't get into u-boot with the C9164 APs.

Thank you!

- They can't , you will need to engage TAC on it. Note that starting from controller releases 17.13.x provisioning and extra checks have been built in to prevent a image corruption due to downloads over WAN links (or other) (e.g) ; of course this can't help currently but is useful to know.

M.

As per the technote:

916x: all units have the Alt-boot enhancement

So you should be able to follow the instructions for Alt-boot recovery. It's extremely unlikely that both partitions are corrupted but if they are you might need to RMA.

Remember new software sets the baud rate to 115200 - did you try that?
