&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;- You don't the number of available WNCd's is determined per controller&lt;STRONG&gt; model&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp; ; TAG configurations will allow you to distribute APs amongst WNCd's&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; In any case&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;always have a checkup of the 9800 WLC configuration and or during configuration-attempts with the CLI command&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT color="#008000"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;show tech wireless&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;and feed the output to :&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A class="" href="https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-config-analyzer/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;Wireless Config Analyzer&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(great sanity check!)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
