Cisco Switch not detecting Access Point

I have a Ruckus AP model H320 (Mac: 7047.7726.67b0) connected directly to my Cisco Catalyst 2960 > Port Gi0/5

But due to some reason the switch does not detect the Access point.

On Port Gi0/3 we have a different AP connected and this AP is detected and working

We tried resetting the AP mutliple

Changed the eth cable

Restarted the port Gi0/5

We also tried different port Gi0/9

But same issue

We are pretty much sure that the AP does not have any issue because this is a new AP sent from the vendor and we also tried some spare APs but the result is same.

Can someone check the configuration and advise please.

- If you are sure that the AP does not have any issues then try to ping it after it has started
- Attach a console to the AP and scrutinize the boot process

are the AP need PoE ?

I think the SW dont support PoE in that Port and hence the AP is not power UP

if the AP can power directly then power it and check if it connect to SW or not (use same port)
note:- it can cable or AC or AP damage so I prefer dont reconnect it to other port of SW that can damage other port.

I did checked this already with Ruckus but they tell me to check the configuration on Cisco Switch
The configuration which i posted from our cisco switch

Do you see any difference in config between port Gi0/3 and Gi0/5

Gi0/3 have an AP connected and it works fine there and gets detected in switch

Gi0/5 also have an AP connected but its not getting detected on the switch

I am afraid to test the non working AP in port Gi0/3 because I might destroy the working AP.

One thumb rules in networking "If it work then don't touch 😄 "

do they have a serial console connection so that you could scrutinize the complete boot process ?

Did you try with the door in access mode?, or configuring a vlan as native on the trunk.. switchport trunk native vlan X

I've seen this hundreds of times (different PD) -- The port is "pulling power" but there is no MAC address.

The AP has crashed.

@BGH don't you need to set native VLAN on the switch port for the Ruckus management VLAN?

Have you enabled LLDP on the switch: globally "lldp run" and on the switch port which is usually on by default?

This is a working switch port config (C1000-24P-4G-L running 15.2(7)E7) with a Ruckus H350 AP:
