We are currently in the process of building a plastics recycling plant.

This plant will be concrete walls, floors, and roof.

One section will be 253' L x 69' W x 19.7' H this is a single story.

The next section of the process building will be 161' L x 69' W x 19.7' at five (5) stories. This area 5 times.

The next section will be 115' L x 59' W x 19.7' H at five (5) stories. This area 5 times.

We will need two (2) locations outside of the building to have access to the wireless as well.

In order to cover the majority of this structure/site with wifi what would be the recommended product/system.

- You will always need a wireless site survey before proceeding, only then look at :

The building has not been built at this time. We would however like to have a best practice solution for budgetary purposes.

@rcoppinger hi, better you use the wireless survey software (yagna is compatible with cisco) or good cisco partner to do site survey. because wireless signals are working in different way in different places.

- Building has not been build is a common argument , but it is not valid , I must stress this point. What you must then do is take the planning of the building and look at what time a site survey could be done, before the plant goes into production,

Get a wireless AP placement design done correctly or do not bother at all.

Site survey (especially for this type of facility) is essential as the others have pointed out already.

For your indicative design budget an experienced WiFi installer would be able to give you a theoretical design based on the most detailed plans you can provide using software like Ekahau. That design would have to be validated and updated with the full site survey once the building is complete. The final stage is an actual coverage survey after the installation is complete to confirm the resulting installation performs to the design criteria.
