- You mean you get the 'wrong digest' error message with snmpwalk too ?
   You can also check the controller logs when trying (show logging)

      + You should also take note of the fact that this controller version is very old ;
        If that feature is to be used with DNAC I think you must for sure use a more recent version
       17.12.3 is current latest advisory ,

Hi all,

We have CISCO C9800-L-F-K9 in our network running on version 17.06.04 with 60 number of C9130AXI APs registered to it.

Similarly, we have the around 10 of same model of WLCs and version at different locations.

But the first said one WLC is not getting discovered when made an SNMP Walk. The message says wrong digest from the SNMP tool. The SNMP user shows as below.

User name: DNAC
Engine ID: 8000000903000845D11C982C
storage-type: nonvolatile active
Authentication Protocol: SHA
Privacy Protocol: AES128
Group-name: default

  Can some one suggest what could be the issue? Does it depend on the AP count any chance? Because all the rest of the WLCs that are discovered are having AP count less than 50.

I would probably recreate the SNMP user on the WLC and make sure the keys are entered correctly. Nothing about the AP count would create an issue with this, could also perhaps be an ACL on the WLC or a firewall blocking the traffic. What is the configuration of the SNMP group? Is it the same as on the other WLCs?

Agreed with the others - your SNMP configuration must be wrong (mismatched) on the SNMP manager or the 9800. Re-enter the credentials on both sides to be sure that they are identical.

And update your software as per the TAC recommended link below.
