Cisco APs are very "fussy" with console cables. Before buying a cable always check the reviews to make sure they work with Cisco APs. Even if they work with Cisco routers and switches does not mean they will work with APs. Generally cables based on genuine (not counterfeit) FTDI chipset will work.
