Cannot change AP country code

Hello,

I have a problem changing the country code on the brand-new AP C9120ax. I've tested about ~20APs 🙂
From GUI it's working like a charm but from CLI it does not. I'm trying this with no effect.

ap name AP-NAME-01 dot11 24GHz shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 dot11 5GHz shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 dot11 dual shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 country DK
ap name AP-NAME-01 no dot11 24GHz shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 no dot11 5GHz shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 no dot11 dual shut
ap name AP-NAME-01 no shut

WLC - C9800-CL - 17.03.06
AP - C9120AXI-E - 17.3.6.207

To change the country code you need to shutdown the AP not just the slots

ap name <APNAME> shutdown

You should ideally be setting the country in the AP join profile rather than directly on every AP:

This doesn't seem to be well documented in the config guide (or at least I couldn't find it in a quick look)!

Those this also apply to 5520 controller? I cannot verify it myself because of communication restriction with the person who's experiencing it. 😵

@cupkeyk your question doesn't make any sense because this question was about 9800 CLI configuration which is IOS-XE. 5520 runs AireOS which is a completely different operating system so no, IOS-XE CLI config does not apply to 5520, and country settings on AireOS are completely different to 9800.
