Hi All,

We have a Cisco WLC KUL-WLC
AIR-CT3504-K9 on our Europe site and we have a deffective Cisco Aironet 2800 Series AIR-AP2802I-K-K9 access points which is already EOL. I want to replace it but do you have any suggestion for a model that is almost the same as this model and is easy to config?

Also, I have another question if we order a new AP, do I need to add a special configs or just do the same by configuring the MGMT IP? i'm not too familiar on AP so your suggestion is greatly appreciated.

You can either go for 9120 or 9130 because rest of the latest AP models are not going to be compatible with 3504/8.10.196. You can refer this - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

Aside that, you need to plan to move to 9800 controllers as 3504 WLC is already marked EOL/EOS - so you won't get any further software support. 8.10.196 is the last available SW for this WLC model.

As Leo says the AP is not end of support yet so why buy a new one when you can still RMA the faulty one?
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-2800-series-access-points/aironet-2800-series-access-points-eol.html
