No, it's not.
As a good practice you should start at the main router (internet connection) to recognize and mark the traffic.
But if you cannot do that, a solution is to create a policy for Teams (and other applications you use and want to prioritize) and apply it on the client (if you want to keep the AutoQOS also) if not apply it on SSID. Apply it on both Egress and Ingress.
Keep in mind also that what makes sense to do depends also if you use local mode or Flexconnect.
If the AP is the only place where you mark and prioritize the traffic then Egress is what will make the difference.
Use Teams setting to mark the traffic that leaves the PCs. That will also improve the quality. Ingress helps only for queuing but you need other policies depending on your setup.

Here is an example of a policy for a common SMB network.

If you want to understand why AutoQos with platinum is not enough check this:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-15/config-guide/b_wl_17_15_cg/m_wireless_qos_cg_vewlc1_from_17_3_1_onwards.html

QoS for Microsoft Teams

My SSID used for any kind of traffic such as browsing, file transfer, voice, video etc.
Also the SSID is used for any kind of client such as windows workstation and mobile phone including android and iPhone.
We use Microsoft teams for primary communication and want to know in WLC9800 are we good enough to set the QoS to the platinum for that SSID or we must create specific QoS for Microsoft team?
