We are seeing something strange when viewing "Interfering APs" in Air Marshal.

We have captured the BSSID Detail for each of our MR76 APs and know the BSSIDs for 2.4 and 5 ghz radios. The interface is however reporting a BSSID which is unknown to us and the MAC is the same except for the first octet.

We have no "Hidden SSIDs" in this environment.

The environment consists of a single MR76 connected to our wired network and a couple of "meshed" APs.

Can anyone confirm what the additional BSSIDs might be?

Thanks,

Brian

Hi ,

As stated by rymiles this is the SSID used for Mesh.

You can disable it ( it is a Network-Wide setting ) :

Meraki allows the ability to disable mesh on the Meraki Access Points. The toggle is a network-wide setting and is configured under Network-wide > Configure > General > Device configuration

Disabling mesh will stop the APs from broadcasting the Mesh SSID to save airtime.

https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/WiFi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/Wireless_Mesh_Networking
